ts200 barrel on ts125

hello again another question, not again i hear you all sigh!!
was just wandering if the ts200 barrel will fit straight on my ts125r? if not is the powervalve the same on the 200 as the 125?

Hi, I think that the TS200R cylinder will fit on the cases ok, but it's quite possible that the stroke is different on the 200 engine, depending on if it's a 56x50mm or a 54x54mm bore and stroke engine. You obviously won't get 200cc if the stroke is different with a std crank, and it might not work with the 125's crank, piston and rod.

The best thing to do is talk to a professional RGV250 engine tuner, as essentially your TS125R has 1pot that's similar to those from an RGV, and i know that RGV400 conversions have been carried out with the help of TS200R parts by some 2stroke engine builders.

I would think that the powervalve design is going to be similar between the TSR/RG125F and RGV250, but then they did use different designs on the RGV depending on the year/model. Is your valve a two or three piece assembly? The othing thing is that the valves may be a different shape and not line up with the port edges or maybe even protrute too far into the cylinder, if you try and use the valves from a another engine. The RGV porting is going to be quite a bit different to the TSR, and there may even be differences in porting between the TSR125 and the 200's.

Someone who knows thier way around RGV engines will probably know what will fit and what won't regarding parts from other motors like the RG125F and TS125/200R's.
