I was just wondering, does anyone think swapping the indicator and brake light bulbs on a RXS100 for LED's would work and give an improvement over the mediocre filament bulbs?

I know it will take a bit of experimenting to get the wattage right for the indicators, but has anyone managed to succesfully do it?

no and its crap and a waste of time. its 6v electrics and getting an LED to give out a proper light (note LED beams are directional) is next to useless.

The 12v proper ones you can buy ready made helps, but that means converting to 12v electrics

Thanks guys, the 12v option does seem the way to go.

It was just I have a load of while LED's here and some resistors and it got me thinking. Smile

It will be pants however you look at it.

the 12v option means a tiny battery unless you can make room for a bigger one.

This option is only worthwhile if your going for an H4 bulb but at 35 watts. Any higher ie like the 55 watts version, the generator won't cope unless you rev the bejeezus out of it everywhere. Because the battery won't get enough charge to keep it going
