Afte numerous "test" insurance quotes I wa ready to risk just insuring TPO for the £350 pricetag, I couldn't afford the £550 price for TPFT Sad

But today, I think I got a good deal, I did a TPO quote costing £333.91 so I thought okay then, what my TPFT? Well, 372 quid!! Quite the saving I think, needless to say I paid for it and had a whizz about Very Happy

I'm with RAC so for 372 on TPFT I'm happy, I'm also 18 now but wahoo Very Happy

They are possibly the worst looking bike I have ever looked at. No wonder it's cheap to insure, no one will nick it Laughing Laughing

Since when has stealing things because they look good to keep been the reason for theft?

Since opportunists first existed?
These people don't have much mental capacity beyond 'OO SHINY ME TAKEY'
Hmm what they going to take on a night out on the rob, a battered old CG or a shiny big sports bike

Or more likely, a dirt bike Laughing

Saying that, they probably don't know a CG from an R1

My point is, that is not the only reason a person may steal a CG. They have little in the way of standard anti-theft devices other than a steering lock, All you need is a screw driver to open up the headlight and bypass the ignition mechanism.

They can steal it for a joy ride (by God they have to be desperate) or just for the fun of setting it alight or even selling it to one of their friends for just £20 quid, that'll get them a few beers which they can swig on the street corner!

When the only bike around is a battered old CG that no one will miss much, the tempation is just as much possibly more than stealing a brand new bike. I'm not saying that if there were one of each beside eachother the theif would steal the CG, in that case, he'd kick the CG over and make away with the sporty 125..

Doesn't matter what it is, someone will want it, and for whatever purpose, selling it, torching it or indeed keeping it.

No point in getting Third Party Theft & Fire on a battered 125CC.

Just get some good chains and make sure you secure it to something like a lamppost, so they can't just put it into the back of a van.

No point in losing your no claims bonus for a bike which you can replace for under £500. Besides, it's a learning curve the 125CC, you'll drop it so many times in the rain and ice, that you won't care about it in a years time...

Yet they are very very common.....

For a 125cc commuter they look pretty good to be honest.

Oh and havent you fuck off yet?

Why the hostility?
