Hi All

I have a '97 bandit 600 and have a silly problem with the petrol cap.

on the cap there are springs which press down on a metal ring which presses down on a rubber ring which seals the tank.

Cap > Springs > Metal Ring > Rubber Ring > Tank

However, the metal ring and rubber ring have come loose and now don't lift with the rest of the tank, instead they are left sitting over the filler hole.

See below picture...

The problem I have is I can't figure out how the rings are supposed to stay attached to the cap.
The springs stay stuck in the cap which is good as I don't want to be fishing them out of the tank but does anyone know how the rings stay attached to the rest of the cap?

I'll get a pic of my cap as the above is just off google, but any ideas in the meantime?

thanks!
Rich
