well as some of you may know i blew my ts125r up a week or 2 ago. well the barrel was no good that i took off because the exhaust port is so thin another piston in there it probs wouldn't last long. so ive been trawling the bay and come accross a man breaking one and he has a barrel with full set of working powervalves and 1.00 oversize piston from a running bike that i have bought for a great, infact brilliant price. i thought i would never find one and some of the ones i have found the people selling them are all alcoholics or smoke a lot of crack. one bloke wanted £230 just for the barrel and another £110 for powervalves bearing in mind these were 2nd hand parts. so when he told me the prices i basically said you start drinking early on a daytime dont ya mate? to which his reply was sorry i dont follow, lol some people, i was quite desperate but defo not that desperate.
so now im gunna get a gasket set ordered and some wheelbearings because its yearly health check is due and both wheels could do with new bearings, and i need 2 rear indicators and a normal sized reg plate coz mine thats on now wont pass mot its only 5"x3", then its new chain and sprockets and a good tune.
i also have future plans for a supermoto conversion but not sure if i want to build my own wheels onto ts hubs or buy some moto wheels and mess about changing bearings to get correct sizes etc. ive built wheels before for my mates dtr so know i can do it, the only problem is spokes! he already had everything there for his wheel build which made it much easier, ok they weren't dead true but £20 at a bike shop sorted that for him.
thanks to all the guys that helped as muh as they could it is very much appreciated
thanks lee
