There was one on a Top Gear episode - the one with the off-road toys. James May was driving it and mentioned that Noel Edmunds had one.

I like something different and that actually appeals. However, 50cc is a deal killer. A more useful engine and it would be useful.

My first car was a left hand drive Citroen so that would not be an issue.

I have seen one of those on the road.

Holding up a huge queue of traffic. Laughing

I am at 2 minds whether it is any good or not.

It would be cheap to run, and is probably safer than a 2 wheeler.

However part of the appeal of a moped is the fact you can filter through traffic, and that looks too wide for that.

Agree that a 50 engine in that would render it pretty useless!

Upside is you wouldn't get blasted by wind, not because of the screen but because you couldn't go fast enough!

Saw a 4-wheel one when on holiday in france 10 years back...

...it looked like it would be quite a hoot to drive until I found out it was just a fiddy, and therefore nothing more than a sop to teenagers and hopeless drunks who want something, anything to drive "sans permis".

As such it has absolutely no business on the UK roads, same as those 500cc diesel Aixams that cost more to buy and use more fuel than a 1.5 turbodiesel supermini...

And only slightly less than the Renault Twizy. I've a mate who was mad for the idea and picked one up on a 3-day test drive, and doesn't sound quite so convinced any more. He's got money to burn though, so may buy it anyway, just as a toy rather than a serious city transport tool.
(I'd be all for it myself if the track could be electrically narrowed at low speed, its top speed was relaxed to 100 or at least 90km/h, and it wasn't so damned expensive to buy)
