And there was that pleasant spell in March as well. We've had very nearly a whole week of warm, sunny weather so far this year. I've even got my vented boots on once or twice (OK, once).

Wettest April in 100 years. May towards the wet end of the scale even with that nice week. Now heading towards the wettest June on record.

Remind me, why did we get into this biking lark again? Eh?

Because the 'good riding weather' (warm and wet with medium gales) makes all the miles in 'bad riding weather' (cold and wet with big gales) worth it Laughing

We're off to the Mazey Eve music and fireworks tonight. We'll see if we can boot the season up the arse a bit. Although don't hold me to it. We gave winter a right good scare at that solstice and it's still here. I'm starting to think that shouting and dancing doesn't affect the seasons at all Confused Wink

I believe that it works if you inversely wear the appropriate attire required, obviously the more dire the weather the more clothing you'd need. Therefore for a rain dance you need less - at the moment I'd say we need to see you starkers for it to make any difference! Wink

Lol! i think that'd scare the sun right off and we'd end up with some sort of Arctic Circle darkness for six months type arrangement Laughing

Besides there's plenty of that goes on up on the moors (i believe), the rest of us just wave fire and dance through the town like normal, responsible citizens Wink

Nothing like a good play with fire, if you ever get a deathwish and feel the need to hang out with the drunken student population of Devon then the Ottery Tar Barrel do on November 5th is something to see!
Getting your kit off may scare the sun ( and possibly wouldn't go down well in the middle of town) but it may lift a few spirits!!!

You'll be glad to know that last night we had the largest, noisiest thunder and lightning storm i've ever seen, accompanied by gale force winds. Lasted for three hours and finally subsided at 03:15 am. The dog was not happy!

It was 41⁰C last weekend. Cool

I'll get me coat!

This is the worst year I can remember for biking.

There has been sooooo much rain.

We had a good week in March, 10 days at the end of May and that is it.

They say it's going to be one of the hottest summers ever.
Rolling Eyes

Am getting bored of the rain, I like riding with my visor up Thumbs Down
and also miss having actual grip when it comes to braking Crying or Very sad

I've yet to experience any amount of sun for longer than a day
I started when it was snowing and it's been raining ever since

The weather we've had, considering it's supposed to be summer, is not acceptable.

Probably has been the worst summer in my short lifetime to be fair.
