Hey guys,

I recently found a 2002 GSX-R600 with 4,500 miles on it. The guy wants $6k for it, it's been laid down on both sides (minor). He's got an M4 slip-on, flushmounts, frame sliders, and other little things.

So my question is, good deal or not? Thanks.

If those were the only details to consider, I'd say it was a good idea. However, I am led to believe that buying a used machine (if you want to be sensible about it) is a much more complicated issue thatn the one you have presented, and you should search this site for guides on buying a used machine.

Whereabouts are you mate? We are mostly in the UK so it's a bit difficult to recommend a decent price in $$$$'s. I could tell you if it was ££££'s.

Well that's about £4000. So it sounds not too bad a price if it was in the UK. however I don't know what the market is like in the US.

you should try asking around here

I wouldn't pay £4k for a bike thats been dropped on both sides.

Yeah the damage is very slight though, you can't really tell when I'm flying past you at 150 mph. Laughing

You wouldn't be catching me at 150 :p you'd have to at least be doing 155.

Would be a good point to get the price down though damage no matter how slight on both sides knocks value off the bike.

Talked them down to $5,500. Thanks for the replies.

I am now the proud owner of a 2001 Gixxer 600!
