Im trying to get rid of the unstable small bike feeling on my 125cc, so I can have the confidence to ride the tits off it.

Every 125 Ive riden (1992 cg125, 2010 CBR125) felt the same.

Im quite sure its the bias ply tyres.

big sports bikes all have radial tyres. They flex more, and heat up less, so they can have softer rubber.

Anyone had radials on a 125?

RS has Dunlop Sportmax, road fine

Tyre is a tyre to me.
Its round rubber that sticks me to the road. I've smashed the CBRs pegs into the floor before and the tyres were Conti Go's also did the same on Metzeler ME75 I think..

Just get on it and ride it. Tread is tread on a 125

Hi

Suspect what you feel is more down to the 125s you have ridden being fitted with the cheapest and nastiest tyres their owners could find for them.

All the best

Bleh well I done another 30 miles on her, and realised its not THAT bad I can get used to it.

So its getting another "duro".

But bloody hell. Rear spindle wouldnt come out. Rusted solid. I had to cut (hacksaw) rear caliper mount, spindle twice, then angle grind a spacer off. THEN hit it with a big fuck off sledge hammer!

Bearings are fucked,...
