I know this may be inconvenient but the prices or nsr's i've been seeing round are stupid, all years and prices are all over the place. Also i'm not sure what good mileage is on one either, anyone who can give a breakdown of pricing M-reg and upwards please? Any help is appreciated,
Thanks. Tom

The price of NSR's are affected by several factors.

NSR's were very popular machines, however as Honda stopped making them last year, new ones are becoming very difficult to find.
Having being aimed at the learner market, many NSRs have been down the road (on their sides) at least once.
Maintenance cycles are suspect too, with new owners not knowing how to take care of their bikes, or simply not bothering.

Basically, NSR's in good condition (here at least) are hard to find for a good price. If you want a lower priced NSR, the state of the bike is something that you have to take into account.

You will pay a lot for a 125 race rep. I saw an '89 NSR at a dealer. Seat was done, farings needed resprayed, and it was in generally bad condition and looked like it hadn't been looked after at all. And the price? £550. You wouldn't of given 50 for it.

Bascially you could expect to pay £700 for a early 90's right up to 2500 for a new one in good condition. Then theres insurance...

Mine cost £1000, but you could expect to probably pay £1300 upwards for it. I got it cheap because I knew the owner, you can see it by clicking in my signature.

The insurance was £773 tpft, it is a group 7 after all, and i am on L plates. (17)

Generally speaking, the cheapest way to acquire bikes is in private sales, as opposed to going to a dealers.
