Hello everyone
I'm new here and so I hope it's ok what I'm about to post.
Me and some guys from the bike club I belong to (Trident and Rocket 3 Owners Club) are just starting a couple of charity rides over very long distances on very unsuitable bikes
I'm not touting for donations (although that would be nice) but I just thought some of you might want to follow the adventure.
Ride one is taking a 1977 NVT 125cc Rambler from Nordcapp (that's a t the top of Norway) to Gibraltar over a 12 day period. That ride actually started today.
On Thursday, the second ride begins which is where we will be riding a 1976 50cc NVT Easy Rider Moped from the Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower over 5 days.
You can follow the stories of both of these rides on www.tr3oc.co.uk by clicking on the "NVT Rides" option on the menu bar at the top of the page.
As I said at the beginning, if I've broken any forum rules, then I apologise but we're just trying to get as many people as possible aware of these rides to raise the maximum amount for the charities with are :
1. Riders for Heath, and;
2. The TT Riders Association
Regards

Bit over 100 miles a day - shouldn't be a problem on a push bike with a bit of practice, never mind one with a motor!
300 miles a day on a 125 for 12 days, maybe a bit more hassle.
In either case, I presume the issue is more making sure you can keep the bikes running; easy, if you can.
I'll give you a C for difficulty of challenge. A lot better than most that come here, but still a 'must try harder' . |

Okay - what about say, competing in the USA Iron Butt Rally (11k miles/11 days) on say a 1969 Triumph Trident T150
Would that get higher than a "C" ? ____________________ Equal Rights for NVT Easy Riders |

Yep; if I was going to support/sponsor (which is unlikely) or just be interested in someone doing something as a 'challenge', then 1000 miles a day average for 11 days seems a tad more challenging than what you have linked to here . |

Yes. Yes, you are.
However, it's bike related, for bike related chaaaridies, you seem like nice, erudite chaps, and it's a sunny day, so I'm going to do something a bit Quixotic and + you.
Perhaps I've caught the homosex from that 125 cruiser rider who nodded at me yesterday. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
