My car only has two seats. When friends come to stay it is a real hassle. As such, I want to get a helmet that anyone can use for short journeys. It will need to be a little bigger, etc so everyone can use it. Anyone does this and have any advice/tips?

Obviuosly wont be as safe as proper fitting, but the journeys would only be a couple miles or so.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

So you want to get a universal helmet that unless you are amazingly lucky like 1 in 1 billion that they all have the same size head. You are willing to risk the reason of getting a helmet to protect your/there head and so that it fits.

You have got a certain size helmet because it fits, if you are getting a larger helmet for someone with a smaller head surely some danger will come from it, or am I just being crazy here. Sure one of the great forum members will most probably say otherwise.

It's ok if you are a police motorcyclist as they are the "safest" on the road however have one crash and I'm sure their will be some problems that come from it.

Helmets that stand a chance of fitting can be had brand new for as little as £30, buy a couple.

Not worth the risk of a poor fitting lid, how would you feel if their helmet came off in a spill and you knew it didn't fit them...

Thanks Donny - of course, I had forgotten how cheap some helmets are. Defo a better option

If my pillions want a decent fitting helmet they can buy their own, I've been generous enough to spend my OWN cash so that some of my friends can get the occasional FREE LIFT off myself... I'm stopping short of buying a selection of helmets so that they can try them all on and choose the best fitting one (or, knowing them, they'd just choose the one that looks the best)!

If he was going to spend some extra cash on different size helmets, wouldn't it be better on some training to make sure he doesn't crash in the first place?

That way there wouldn't be the issues of "this helmet will only leave you a minor rather than severe brain injury" kind of thing!

Just get a medium. Even fat heads can squeeze in them for a few miles.

Oh yea, as G says don't crash. Thumbs Up
