gutted and bloody annoyed with myself
2 minors i could have lived with
the fail was speeding!!! i saw a sign while riding a 40 zone and had a good 5-6 seconds to decide my move
i thought the sign was a nsl but no it was something to do with heavy goods ive never seen the sign before anywere or in the highway code
so back to the drawing board and rebook for the end of july

I left the green sheet club after passing on my 5th go!

The trick is just to keep going and not stop until you have that pass certificate in your hand.

It really IS worth it, trust me and many others that have got their licence.

I wish you the best of luck for next time dude. Thumbs Up

I passed on my third attempt.
First was a fail - silly mistake from behind a parked car.
Second was electrics failure - indicator stopped working.
Third time I passed - but felt it was the worst of my three rides.

Keep at it, you'll pass next time Thumbs Up

Unlucky, I had one of those signs on my test. THe sign was really faded so all you could really see was the diagonal black strip. However as I got closer I could see that it had a little drawing of a HGV with diagonal lines, not a black strip. I hadn't been on that road before and I think I was lucky that I noticed it wasn't an NSL sign.

If that's all you failed on then I wouldn't worry about you passing next time, sounds like you were just unfortunate.

Which test centre did you use?

I think the moral is 'if in doubt slow down', speedings a fail, too slow's a minor.

In OPs' case I suspect he wouldn't have got a minor, maybe even a brownie point for being cautious when face with a rather unusual sign.

Pretty sure 20mph under the speed limit when the machine is capable and the conditions are safe is a fail also. Just unlucky that the sign wasn't clear really and that you didn't know the road.

I did mine at the Rotherham test centre too, it will have been the same sign! I had to really look hard and it was only as I got really close that I noticed it wasn't an NSL sign. The road beyond the sign looks like it should be NSL too if I remember correctly which doesn't help the situation.

Well, on your next try don't do what I did on my first mod 2 - decide that pinning it through the red light on that big dual carriageway coming up to that big spiral roundabout (don't really know Rotherham Very Happy) is a better idea than slowing and stopping Laughing

god the spiral roundabout is a thing of nightmares! I still don't like the b&q roundabout that much mainly due to all the cagers not knowing what bloody lane they should be in Laughing

ive decided i don't like Rotherham i definitely prefer Sheffield (i know where im going in sheffield)

It has been decided that the examiner on the day was in a bad mood it was probably my dodgy brake light that started it lol he had a right go at my instructor about it Rolling Eyes

i barely sleep as it is keeping a bike in that garage i doubt i would ever sleep again lol
