Absolutely fuming, 3 days after I received my helmet from sportsbikeshop.co.uk they e-mail me saying here's a 15% discount voucher! Wasted £25!

They obviously send the voucher codes out after christmas to make you buy MORE stuff in the sales

I visited this store today with the intention of purchasing both an Aria chaser v and a new battery. About four years ago I purchased a RST jacket from them and within about 4 months, it's lining had ripped.i took it back and they were totally dis-interested, bordering on rude. The "owner", a chap with greying hair and a moustache, was so far from interested, the only way I got him to do anything was to tell him I would take it up with RST directly, then he eventually agreed to swap it out.
I went in today to enquire about the guaranteed price match that they offer, which is nothing of the sort. Lids direct had a number of chaser lids available in my size for £249 including free postage - sports bike told me they wouldn't honour the price match and it was their choice whether they did so or not. I explained that I was also after a battery and said could I try on one of their chasers from display just to check on the size. At that point the "owner" came out from the stockroom and said he wasn't prepared to assist me as I wasn't going to buy the helmet from him. I explained that I had come in with the intention of buying from him but the store wasn't prepared to honour the price match and that it was "their choice when and who to offer it to". He then proceeded to tell me he remembered me from the jacket saga and basically said he didn't want my business!!!
Now how's that for customer service? Well, mr sports bike, you will not receive either mine, our any of my considerable biker friends business in future ! |

Resurrection of a half-year old thread just to bad mouth a particular company? I can't see anything in what you've told me in which you could have annoyed the shop owner enough to warrant him refusing to take your business.
