From learner to licensed "biker", greatest feeling ever.

Mod 1 passed on tuesday, Mod 2 passed today, elated as anything Smile Smile

Thanks all at BCF, all the mod 1 and mod 2 posts, they helped me get prepared! Gave me the confidence to just book both tests off my own back and I passed them both first time!!

Absolutely great feeling to be honest Andy!

Especially because after having my bike on L-plates since April, I had the confidence to do both without any official lessons, just from reasonably regular riding over the past 2 months!

And what do you mean "do a Cansa" mate? xD

Well done, and with no formal training!

That "finally I'm a real biker" feeling is something else isn't it?
So what crotch rocket are you thinking of getting? I bought a Fazer 600 when I passed last week and utterly love it.

Oh I see, well surely as I passed under the current laws, I now just have to sit out a 2 year restriction and then can ride anything? And don't in any way get f*cked by the new laws?

And thanks guys, yeah, I just went for it Smile you're right Alex, the learning starts now, its why I'm keeping the 125 for at least the next 9 months, till the insurance comes round! (well that and cost.. Laughing )

and well i want to get an sv650... but it can wait Smile

Can you drop me some links for the tips on Module 1 & 2?

I need work on my shoulder checks, I'm struggling on them. Just on round-abouts, I don't know when to do my shoulder checks.

Assuming you're talking aboot 'doing a Cansa', he doesn't mean the new European Driving Licence Directive (which is changes to the structure of tests from 2013) he means the New Drivers Act, where you'll lose your licence if you reach six penalty points within two years of passing your first driving test.

And congratumalations Very Happy isn't it a great feeling?

Believe me I don't intend to do that, I've had my car license two years now, in which time my only incident has been a flat tyre, so hopefully I can keep the bike as long and as uneventfully!

Cause riding a bike is ever uneventful...
