I've only been able to find a couple of reviews of these, but they both seemed positive. Not really sure whether I should go for the Sport or Supersport versions though. I'm most interested in improving wet grip but there are conflicting opinions on which of the two are best for this.

Anyone tried them?

Nope, never tried them although I did have Avon Storms on my busa and they were a good mix of grip and milage compared with Bridgestone OEMs.

Is this for your stripple? My rear tyre is getting to you the point of replacement and I was thinking of Pirelli Angels. However if you decide to get the Avons I would be interested in what you think.

Yeah it's for the Street. It's either these or the Dunlop Sportsmart or Roadsmart IIs, but I've heard the Dunlops don't work so well on very light bikes.

Everything is so subjective, I really liked Avon Storms I fitted to the busa. Good feel & 3 times the wear of the Bridgestones that it came with.

I've never been a Pirelli fan, but the Super dragon corsas my triple came with were superb. It was just a pity the rear only lasted 2500 miles including running in. On a 100bhp light weight bike that is just dire.

I know some of the guys that went on the launch, beforehand they were taking the piss about nt being allowed to overtake for fear of stressing the rubber amongst many other negative views on Avon tyres.

At the even though their tune changed, despite the launch location receiving snowfall on the day and days preceding, leading to cold and wet track. Actually the most vocal of them who was not looking forward to the launch at all was waxing lyrical after the event.

I've been using pirelli angels on a CBR6 for a couple of years now. Typically get about 6k from a rear and am very happy with the grip.

Only thing I don't like is the daft angel pattern and as a lot of my use is commuting they could last a tad longer, I haven't had any moments grip wise though. When my current set die I'll be fitting Michelin PR2s.

I have used Avon car tyres and found them pretty awful. Not sure I would want to use the brand on a bike.

I have always found Bridgestone and Dunlops pretty good though, on bikes and cars.

Had Avon Road Riders on the Divvy and they were like riding on Ice no matter what the weather... Yet used to feel hot to the touch.

Put Avon Storms on the Versys and they were fantastic. Stuck like the proverbial to the blanket.
Had Distenza's on there as well and they were even better Thumbs Up

Got PR3's on now and can't seem to get to like them as they just don't seem to have the same grip.
