Does anyone have one of these?

Which is better? C-11 or V2?
Is there any real difference?

How easy is the thing to fit? Surely not too easy, otherwise it seems you could disarm it quickly.

I have the V2. It's good, easy to install and is quite loud. Much louder than any disc lock alarm.

How is it disarmed? Via remote control?
How does the immobiliser work - does it prevent sparking?

£30 seems like a bargain to be honest.

Depends which kind of ignition you have.

C11 has an imobilier that 'makes' to kill, and more suited to singles & lightweights.

V2 has 'break' to kill imobiliser, more suited to heavier bikes & multis

Both cheap, easy to fit & generally well regarded. only niggle is they are so common, and they do have a fairly high 'armed' current draw...

Read the FAQ info on the MotorBikeAlarm.co.uk page.
The V2 is newer.
The C11 suits some bike better.

What is the difference between the Cyclone C-11 and the Cyclone V2? Which one should I use?

For years the Cyclone C-11 was the only compact simple reliable system we sold. A number of years ago we realised that we could greatly simplify the fitting solutions for many bikes ( not that the C-11 is hard to fit! ) by making several changes to the C-11 and thus the cyclone V2 was born.

The V2 is a more modern C-11 which has been designed to allow very simplified fitting solutions, allowing the alarm to fit Japanese and European 4 stroke bikes of 125cc and over without having to cut wires in half!

However if you have a Chinese bike, or a 2 stroke then the cyclone C-11 is still usually a better choice

I do not have either of these alarms but I have had good reports. I will be buying a V2 when funds and time allows.

HTH Thumbs Up

I never figured out the immobiliser on my Cyclone V2.

I had it setup but the ignition didn't work. I could start the bike from remote start but using the key did nothing.

I'm tempted to just put a switch somewhere as mentioned in another thread to act as an immobiliser. No switchy no elecy.

Well, I've got the V2 and had a go at installing it.

Took a bit longer than I'd thought, mostly because of the difficulty in getting the fairings off my bike without taking the rear rack off.

Not played with the immobiliser yet but the alarm itself seems alright for £30. A little quiet but I should be able to solve that by mounting the siren in a better place.
