No. If any of it gets into the oil, it'll block an oilway and kill the bike.
If money is a real object, you could probably put an appropriate size dowty washer (sometimes called a bonded seal washer) under the bolt heads.
Check the price of proper rubbers though, you sometimes get a surprise.
If it was, say, a varadero 125, the cylinder head cover retaining bolt rubber seal (part number: 90542MB0000) sell at £1.80 each. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

thanks for the reply.
Money isn't an issue as such, I wouldn't pay more than a few quid for the set because any more and I am essentially getting ripped off, its just the supply. I can't find any at all.
Bike is a hyosung comet 125, i think its near enough the same engine as a suzuki intruder but cant find any for them either ____________________ Ex bikes: 05 Suzuki En 125, '98 Yamaha Thundercat, '08 Honda cbr125, '05 Kawasaki z750, '03 Triumph Daytona 600, '91 Kawasaki ex250, '03 Hyosung Comet 125
