Have been looking for a 125 and found an ex-uk bike exported to spain. It has all the export documents and still retains the uk reg and logbook. the price makes it a very good option but what legally would i have to do to re-import it and register?

Hi

If still UK registered then likely pretty much nothing. Just send off the V5 to transfer it into your name.

That said it might have landed up also registered in Spain and might need to be deregistered there to avoid the owner being liable to Spanish taxes.

All the best

Keith

There is the question of why though.

It's a 125, just buy a cheap one from the UK, less hassle and probably cheaper than having a bike shipped over.
