Hi

I have a super gimp-tastic onesie with a hump.

Any ideas what I can wear over the top when it's chilly? The hump prevents me wearing anything really, and I can't fit anything underneath. I've tried a fleece but it really won't sit right.

Why? Please explain why? Confused
What advantage does this setup give you for riding on the road?
On tracks I can understand but for road riding Thinking

Even off the bike they look worse when tried to be worn with the arms tied around the waist Sick

Not criticising your choice of gear, just a genuine question, why?

Might stop his head from being slammed back onto tarmac, could protect his spine from injury, might make a long ride more comfortable by reducing drag and turbulance. Might give him that extra storage space for a drink or a waterproof. There are advantages, hence why used on track, natural progression means it follows to road.

Might not be a great deal of use on the city outskirts, but what roads has he just been on or heading too?

I seen a ferrarri in a traffic jam once, cunt might has well have bought a micra.

No, more likely to cause neck damage apparently, on track or road. The only reason to have it is for aerodynamic reasons which are irrelevant on the road.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

This is a No Brainer...

Cut the Onesie in half to make it a Twosie. (Cut across the waistband not up through the crotch.)

Throw the top half in the bin (the half with the hump or 'Neck Protector' Very Happy ).

Wear any other cozy jacket you have in the house.

Tell your mum you feel the cold when out playing on your bike.
Anyone's mum will simply rush down to the shops on the way home from work to buy her baby a wee coat.

Or... MTFU!!!

Get a gimpy rain suit thingy, they must do them for humps.

My not-quite-so-gimpy humpless one makes far more difference to keeping warm than a fleece ever could, as being plastic it actually stops the wind getting through.

https://www.respro.com/products/urban-commuting/motorcycling/slick_half_jacket/ this sorta thing. But get the kinky S&M one with the crotch strap.

I bought the one piece for the track, but don't own a two piece. Will be using it when touring so trying to find a way of making it warmer.

Two piece is the way forward, needing a poo whilst wearing a onesie is a traumatic experience.

Go in to a clothing store ie Marks & Spencers/Matalan etc whilst wearing your leathers.

Look for fleeces, find one 2 sizes bigger than you are currently, try it on.

Seriously that's what I did with my waterproofs in a camping store, I just went in, in my bike gear.

If you're looking for a fleece for extra warmth over a leather, you'll need a windproof one. If you're doing any speed the wind blast will go right through it, negating any benefit you were looking for. With a waterproof over it, it'd work or if it had a windproof liner, but plain fleece on it's own, not a chance.

Buy a zip up fleece 2 sizes bigger than you, it is what I did.

As for wearing a onesie when not on track, call it exercising ones personal choice
