You sure someone's not replaced your exhaust with a bazooka while you weren't looking. Laughing

What black thing?

Sounds like a backfire, shooting a baffle down the road which would explain the loudness Laughing

Did someone put a potato in your exhaust, a la Axel Foley?
Sounds like a baffle blown off, but I'd get it looked at if I were you.

the baffle tube has been cut out by a previous owner, so not baffle, not sure what was put up there but ran normal and no problems.
