Watching a bike near me on ebay, seller says
Kawasaki zx600
item specifics says
Manufacturer: Kawasaki
Model: zx600
Type: Super Sport
Date of 1st Registration: 01/08/1985
Now i went to get an insurance quote used registration from the bike it comes back as a gpz 600, i know they are near identicle but now im confused, is it a gpz 600 or zx600 or false plate?
just went through his feedback he has buyer feedback
all good turned up when said
kawasaki gpz 600 (#290686014148)
so hes trying to pass it off as a zx600...
price of bike atm is £300 no reserve

Wouldn't bother.
It's a massive false economy to buy a 500 quid no tax or test bike that's old when for 600 more you can get a tatty hornet or similar.
After tyres, chain and sprockets and sorting out little niggles it works out the same. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

As others have said, I wouldn't bother, it can more often than not be false economy to try and sort out a few niggles and then MOT and tax a bike, when you can buy a decent (ish) runner for around the same sort of money.
You could pick up a MK1 Bandit for around £700, I sold mine with 12 months MOT and tax and a fair whack spent on bits, C+S Kit, coils, plugs, fork seals, tyres, oil cooler and other bits for £800. ____________________ TS50 > Senda 125 > ZXR400 > CB-1 > GSX-R1000 > Bandit 600 > ZXR750 H1 > GSX-R750 SRAD > '98 Fireblade > T595 Daytona > Hornet 900 > '04 Fireblade > GSX-S1000F (x2) > '23 XSR900 |

Depends, as said above, I bought a '96 GPZ500 cheap and in the end, after replacing bits like chain/sprockets, discs, I have come out with spending the same on what I would have on a newer GPZ, and yet i've still got a worse paint job
However, the 80's bikes do look alot nicer than the 90's, and if it's the 80's look you like then whatever ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

I do NOT recommend you to buy GPz600R, these motorcycles are wrecks and if you want one that is rideable then you're gonna spent fortune on them.
For these bikes you've got to be more then a rider ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
