nsr125 oil pump

When i start my nsr it does not hardly smoke with no choke on tick over & when reved it only makes a bit more.
Is this normal as my mates RS smokes like hell?
i run it on TTS. is my oil pump not working, it does not over heat though?
Shoild i of changed the oil pipes & drained tank when changing from semi to fully synthetic.If so what effects could this of had on the engine & why.
Its getting a new piston rings shortly anyway so should i do anything.

Hey there stu

I have a 92 NSR125RK and it does not smoke too much either, actually it smokes less than my previous two strokes! Even after a bit of thrashing the temperature does not rise above a third on the guage! But it does smoke lightly, white in colour and smells a little sweet, like none other engine I've fiddled with :)

Why are you changing piston rings anyway? Are you sure they are weak?
