Hi everyone, first post, so ill keep it nicely detailed.

Ive got a YBR 125 off a mate, it runs perfect but needs some work (courtesy of me crashing it a couple of months ago into a field)

Ive bought it as a project, at the moment its silver, looks like a old mans bike tbh, when im done it will be glossy black , triple lacker, custom vinyl on fuel tank, different clocks and twin headlights.

here is my question then, I need to replace the snapped exhaust, do I HAVE to go with the YBR exhaust, its rather ugly, the CBR125 exhaust is much nicer to look at, but what other can i use?

The clocks, Again what other bikes have interchangeable clocks, the stock clocks are fine, but damaged beyond repair, so any clocks that will fit this bike will do, as i can customise them at a later time.

Twin headlights, Ive found some lovely looking things on ebay, supposedly will fit a ybr, but do any other bikes already have twin headlights that fit the ybr?

Indicators, all 4 need replacing, looking for some similar to the originals, again is there a bike i can grab them off or should i stick to the YBR ones?

I hope someone is kind enough to help me out on this, Ive done custom jobs to many cars, but this is my first with a bike, thank you, Bizla.

headlights-
keep the single unit, not only do they provide better light over trhe twin counterparts, they also house all the wiring conncetors ect from the dash,

indicators-
any indicators from any bike, or after market will fit fairly easily

clocks-
no direct replacement but there are plenty of after market options
search for koso, acewell, and trailtech are the main ones, alternitivly some thing like this will work, or a bit fancier this

exhaust-
it depends where its broken but a reverse shorty universal exhaust should be easy enough to fit

Be careful putting twin 55w bulbs on a YBR, it's probably not designed for such a heavy load on the headlight wiring loom.

Thank you both for your kind replies,

As for the single light unit, that Is the only part of the YBR that I REALLY detest, is there a nicer looking alternative to that giant bulb or can the wires be shortened (I have 2 mates helping me with this project, one is a mechanic and one is an electrician) so that the single headlamp is no longer needed to house them?

As for the brightness of twin lamps, although that is an important issue I will be doing very little.. if any riding at night time, so as long as they work for if i really need headlights then im not too bothered about that.

Indicators - thats great to hear that I dont have to be too picky about them, thank you Smile

Clocks - Brilliant sujjestions Very Happy the small Tachometre is not suitable for me as it needs to be in mph (England) the digital ones are very cool, i will keep those bookmarked for another project, I think analog dials would be better for this project though as I want to keep the classic styling (so also no square headlamps lol)

Exhaust - thats a beautiful looking exhuast, I think I may get one of those Smile the break is further down the pipe though so I will still need to get that replaced.

thanks again for your replies, they have been very helpfull Smile
