Was riding to work at Lasham Airfield, left home at 0445 to get there at 0515, riding along a main road with a big dip, came over the crest and saw a Yaris in the side road, even made eye contact with him!

He pulled out anyway, I was going about 50 and hit the brakes. From what I can tell I must have panic braked and locked up, next thing I know I'm sliding along the ground and see the bike hit the back of his car and keep sliding over the other side of the road. I then kept sliding and hit the back of his bumper too, he hit the brakes but then gunned it and drove off, unbelievable!

Stood up with a few sprains, some lads helped me pick the bike up, after it had pissed half a tank of fuel out of the breather pipe. Everything on the left side is fucked, plastics, gear lever, pillion peg, clocks, headlights etc etc

Police couldn't really do anything without a reg number, Devitt were very helpful and arranged recovery for the bike, hopefully it's repairable Rolling Eyes

Evil or Very Mad

Police could check the ANPR system for Micra's in that immediate area if they wanted to, could find him pretty quick, but a hit & run on a biker obviously isn't that important to them Sad

I hate that phrase.....

You DID NOT make eye contact....

How the hell at 50mph, through a helmet visor do you make eye contact.... You will be lucky to see the white's of his eyes.... Let alone a 4 m/m pupil....

What you mean is he LOOKED IN MY DIRECTION.... But clearly DID NOT SEE YOU. Twisted Evil

Clearly the car was damaged, you know the colour of it. That should be a pretty easy find for the police.

Remember in cases like this stay laid on road and get a ambulance called out...
That way they are far more likely to take action as it has cost plenty already.

Anyway hope you are OK and get sorted without losing to much £££

Thanks mate, when I phoned 999 the PC who turned up didn't seem too interested, "you got insurance and that?". Devitt were properly helpful and arranged recovery to their nearest authorised repairer within the hour Smile Sadly I didn't take any pictures but anything attached to the left side (pillion peg, gear lever etc) is screwed, the gear lever made a nice gash in the tarmac too Very Happy

Hopefully I'll hear back from the repairer tomorrow as I imagine the bike has been dumped in their yard for the moment Sad
