TL;DR treats your car like shit, shouts and rants at you, threatens to kick you in the balls.
The person came to collect the car, due to lack of starting, and was told that the roof did not close, this person brought nothing to prevent water ingress on the cars travels, only that they "would have just ductaped some poly sheet over the car." We don't use ductape on cars, leaves a glue residue and can cause paint marring, as well pulling paint off.

This person got upset about the following.
Signs saying do not wash the car inside the car, I have put close to 100 hours into the paint work of this car, having paint work repsrayed, and it still requires a final treatment, I can not risk, any swirling or scratching in the paint work or any unknown chemicals used on the paint work, or improper wash techniques, one bad wash can put the paintwork back to where it was, I can't afford or risk that.

A simple request which sent this person into a bit of a rage and quote "I can't even get the ******* thing wet! (and) It has only had a ******* polish!" this thread alone shows it has had much more than just a polish. I had no issues with the car getting wet, just didn't want it washed.

Got upset that, I had re-assembled the car with a faulty SAM unit, and that he would have to take the bonnet off, and this and that off....Car was on axle stands, I wasn't going to start the car on axle stands, I couldn't take the car off the stands without putting it back together, and when it was back together, did I notice the SAM failure.

Now, I don't know about any of you, but if I am paying someone to do a job, mechanically on my car, I don't expect to take the car apart myself for someone to fix, if your turbo dies are you expected to remove everything out of the way to get to the turbo, then call someone in to fit a turbo and put it back together? No, you're paying someone to come out, fix the car and do what is needed.

Next rant, was that I had somehow "sealed the leaks in" not sure what that means, the car was dry and there wasn't a dripping tap that I sealed inside the car, or a magic fountain, what was also pointed out was that, the leaks I sealed up, the same as Mercedes built the car, the same as all the guides say to seal up "don't leak there" according to this garage, it is at this point the person pulled the front luggage tray out and threw it across the floor, and shouted and pointed at where the water leaks on to the SAM unit....Even though the car wasn't leaking there, I went over the whole car with a hose pipe....didn't leak there as this person proclaimed.

Next, the leaks I had sealed up, were under the scuttle panel, which requires removal of bonnet to take that panel off, as well as the wipers, this person also complained they would have to take this off to get to the SAM unit, but most of all, without taking anything off the car this person said that "whoever sealed these leaks, needs holding up against a wall and kicking in the B*******" So my recommendation here, is that everyone who has ever had their Smart leak on the scuttle panel to go and maim yourselves as you have done it wrong, and especially the person who made those guides *shakes fist*...(sorry was my sarcasm a bit too thick there?)
Still, this person managed to see the leaks, I had sealed up, under a bonnet and scuttle, and that the car, even though I removed 4-5 litres of water from the car.

This person told us, that we were hiding something with the car, and that it wasn't right, and that he didn't want to touch it, also ranted about who diagnosed the SAM unit, as faulty, and seemed upset by the diagnosis that was done just an elementary guess due to symptoms and car history...Now I find that odd, if the issue was something I had done, hand will be in my pocket paying the repair bill, and if I was hiding something about the car A. This person would find it and B. It would be found out and easily posted on here, or anywhere....It isn't worth it for me to hide something about the car, or try and do something underhanded, I have never ever worked that way and never will, and dislike being accused of something like that, my company has built up a reputation of being the best in the UK in a few sections of the business and it is NOT something I want destroyed, in all the years we have been in business, we have rectified every single issue at our cost, and left everyone happy, not worth the risk.

Most of this was done whilst shouting, and telling the only person there at the time to "stop shouting, stop ranting, let me finish" etc, whilst the person sorting the car out for me in my absence, my mother was there alone, by herself and subjected to what is school bully tactics.

All of this shouting and ranting was done on a small but busy industrial site, where afterwards I am told most of the site came in to check on my mother who was just subjected to this persons torrent of abuse, even the owner took some time to come and check everything was ok.

Now to say I am fairly angry is an understatement, to have a go at my work isn't really on, but your opinion, yours is the only one that differs to anyone else.

To take the mick out of my work, isn't really on either, I put more respect into that car in 2 minutes than this person did in the whole time they were there.

To essentially threaten me with a kick in the balls, also isn't on, I have worked on my hands and knees for some of the rudest people you can ever meet, I have taken abuse from people whilst at work, I have worked in utter filth for people who treat you like they have scraped you off their shoe, and never once have I threatened anyone with any violence, shouted at them, verbally abused them, intimidated them with school bully tactics, yet this person feels the need to do it to their customers.

But most of all, whether it be my mother or any other woman out there, you do not talk down to them, you do not shout at them and verbally abuse them, you do not leave them close to tears and shaking, because of your constant shouting and threats, you just do not speak to women like that.

All this Fudgesmart.

Do Fudge Smart need to wash a car before touching it?

Every time I've taken my car to a garage they've done whatever's necessary to get at the offending parts and I've never had a garage rant at me.

If I had a Smart car then I'd definitely give Fudge Smart a wide berth.

I have heard bad stuff about FudgeSmart, it's a shame that some people think it's acceptable to act like that.

On the bright side the Roady looks great, regret selling mine they're great fun.

The problem is fudgesmart is often written without a space. People should know that fudge smart is really fudgesmart. (All one word)

Then pits should repost his original post replacing all instances of Fudge Smart with Fudgesmart so that people don't confuse Fudge Smart with Fudgesmart.

That banner for Fudgesmart doesn't seem to tie in with Mr Fudge Smart and his character. It suggests that he's friendly.

I would be so annoyed if my mother was treated the way he dealt with yours. Customer service? Non existent judging by the write-up.

In my opinion the use of that smiley makes it look like he's on drugs!

FudgeSmart are rising up the rankings really fast.. soon the whole world will know that FudgeSmart have been names and shamed!!

On an unrelated note:
Say you developed a website, lets call it FudgeSmart, and you wanted to get to the top of a google search for free, could you just add a shed load of FudgeSmart tags into the code or something to keep FudgeSmart high up in the listings??? So if I opened FudgeSmart would I be able to save money this way?
