CX 300 II - These things go deep in the ear so they're not pulled out by putting your helmet on. If the headphones you have are falling out as you ride, then your helmet is not tight enough.

I don't think that is true, lots of helmets have cavities for the ears with quite a bit of room in them. My earphones always fall out when I put the lid on, so I haven't bothered to try to listen to music on the bike. I did recently purchase some helmet speakers on ebay that velcro into the lid, but I've not got around to fitting them yet.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

If you don't want the hassle of feeding them into your ears after the lid is on you can get some over-the-ear ones that go in-ear as well which might help?

This sort of idea:

Look for this sort of earphone.
The 'sleeve' works like an earplug that you roll to a small diameter then it swells to conform to the shape of your ear canal.
I found Shure or Sony are most comfy for long term use.
Some of them come with a different size of sleeves too for big lug holes and small lug holes.
A bit pricey for the noise isolation and it sometimes gets upset by certain noise situations in helmets but very, very good sound reproduction you will not want to get off the bike.
Just needs a bit of Dub and you're off.

I remember trying to use one of those fcuking things.
It eventualy migrated around so as I could only see out of one eye or the part your lips stick out of would ride up and try to saw one's head in half.

I think it's in the bin in the garage behind the sinclair C5 with the betamax mixing deck, the peter paint pads, and the magnetic window cleaner.

Yeah, I tried mine again and it made my helmet too tight and gave me a mild headache.
