was in two minds to street fighter it...then my uncle rocked up and suggested i do just that...(he rides a CBR1100XX naked and no bike would ever look as good as his) so i have decided to buy a set of fairings lol

will get a photo of his bike when i see him next....

just sanded the fairings down and repaired them with good old
big boy fiber glass resin ( not done the belly pan that was too battered to repair so have ordered one but its blue so that will need doing when it arrives also).......and sanded down the tank.... and changed the rear sprocket .....

the bike has never been off the road....just needed a LOT of TLC...it needed to be stripped and put back together again fully which i am doing now....paid £400 for the bike...new parts, bits and bobs cost me around £200 so all in all not a bad little project...should all be finished by end of July....

Oh nice, whats the mileage? Zzr's are a nice bike, fast and comfy!

go have a look, no harm in that....be prepared though....bike might look tidy but its whats going on inside that counts...this is my first ever project bike...only been riding since last August...never even stripped anything of a bike before that...have had lots and lots of practice since that date though thats why i figured why the heck not Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Looks good...my front fairing does need replacing will get round to it when i get the pennies for it, patched it up for now but in my head its one more job that needs doing...if i do get round to streetfighting the bike, i will get rid of the rear fairings too....waiting for my other caliper to arrive now so i can slot it on...have done the cbr900 nissin upgrade Wink

Nice! Did you just ditch all the ram air gubbins then? Did that affect performance much?

Fair enough I would like to fit a different rear end but it would be difficult!

The bike would refuse to rev over 5k and stutter and die if it was taken over that. hence blocking ram air. So I don't know about power loss. Doubt there's much. Can still do 110mph restricted.
