I know BCF are not really fans of farbon but I think this bike has been done really well and seeing as most people do it purely for looks I'm sure it's a lot cheaper. And if you do the stuff yourself it actually involves some skill!!

What do you think?

yes i know i didnt say it was real,

the carbon pattern in general i like see a few bikes that have been done well saw a Ducati Panigale with full carbon warp and was done very well. on the other hand i saw a VFR with carbon warp and looked bad, just a all round bad job of it,

defo get it done by a pro

Yes, but by saying "I like carbon" you're implying you think it's real. Especially given that carbon wrap is just a piece of vinyl with a pretty pattern on it.

Carbon = Thumbs Up

Farbon = Thumbs Down

I'd like to try it on a few small pieces to see how hard it is and how it comes out.

I like carbon stuff but the prices on some parts are ridiculous, especially as you would be buying it pretty much only for cosmetics

The BMW S1000RR can have BMW carbon. The kit would cost over £1000 There are Ebay kits but they look shit.

BMW use a textured plastic on the standard S1000RR where the carbon panels would fit but this looks worserer than the shit off ebay.
But as it's cosmetic and not strictly performance related I can't justify laying out so much beer money on how my bike looks.

If I had money to burn then mibby I'd do carbon.

I suppose it depends if you view it as a nice colour/finish/texture to have on a bike or as a lame attempt to look like you have carbon parts when you don't.

As a glorified paint scheme it looks nice enough.

Thats not carbon wrap in the max power chav boi stylee. It is not a laminate vinyl film - aka carbon wrap/ Farbon.

It is actual Carbon weave laid over the parts and then fully lacquered, so basically it IS real carbon, just not solely Carbon.

Looks awesome tbh!

Looks nice, but the extra money spent on that tells me that classic painted piece of plastic would be more like it Smile Laughing

I'm pro every change that has a reason. Take down some 3kg or less from an open road bike is just ridiculous attempt to increase the value of the motorcycle. And if this is just an sticker, then I don't know what is going on here. Rolling Eyes Chrome is, for me, chapter of its own Confused

It seems to me, that this whole carbon composite madness is just some next fashion wave, that would end some day.

Personally I like it when there are small details that are in carbon. Little bits here and there which you notice close up

I prefer shit loads of carbon. Frame, wheels, panels, engine block, chain etc. etc... really shed that weight..
