Here is one of the bikes ive been working on for awhile now. Still not done. I have a solo tail i made but didnt like and im working on another solo tail with part of a daytona tailsection. the front end is 90 gsxr750 with 6piston calipers. full floating rotors and steel braided lines. rear is 95 gsxr750 arm with a 5.5" rim and fox shock. 180 rennsport on the rear, 120 up front. home made front sprocket, bracketry along with spacers and suspension linkage. bike now has a 22.9 degree rake angle, 3" trail. 21.8 degree swingarm angle. about 55.5" wheel base and about 54degree lean angle until the cases touch.

Aha! I recognise the lighting unit on there!

Is that from a Daytona 955i?

It will be nice to see it when it has the Daytona tailpiece too!

Good stuff! Thumbs Up

Yes sir, that front is a 955 piece. Actually all of the mounting taps are broken off, it was an engineering miracle how I made that thing. Only one bolt holding it on and a few pinch points. The light isnt on there any more as i didnt like how much my bracket(or the glass on the light) weighed. The bike is off the road for some revamping also.
here is another one you might enjoy

What I did with the daytona tail is only used the top thin section of it. Right where it bulged out for the "air scoop" is all cut off. This way I can use the seat and seat cowl but fiberglass the rest to my taste. The ducting just didnt look right. Once finals are over I hope to spend a little more time on the bike but ive got more then a few projects right now:)

NEVER! hahaha. It wouldnt look right with any fairings ive tried, it looks way better naked. Besides a faired air cooled motor, i wouldnt ride it in the summer Razz

The bike will probobly get a pair of handlebars and a motocross number plate, still toying with the idea. Im gonna make a custom front fender with some small lights in it. Dont know if it will pass inspection though, cross my fingers.

I certainly don't think the Daytona plastics will fit in their current state, because the top fairing is angled upwards and so the lowers won't meet up with it properly!

Looks good in a kind of weird way! Smile

and the headlight is attached to the fork not the frame:). the upper was just on there for kicks. i was gonna cut it down and make a bikini fairing. the lines of the bike dont warrant any full body work that would look good in my opinion. and you can see my gauges come through where the windshiled would be. Im more into hooligan bikes anyways but i do like most of the newer sportbikes since 98 when the R1 started the current trend. Dont be fooled, im not trying to make this bike look like something else, i have daytona stuff because we had a wrecked one come through the shop, ie the headlight with no mounting tabs. the upper is in great shape but the tail section was cracked in one spot. i just kept part of it for good seating mount and seat cowl. it matched the curves of the bike pretty well minus the air ducts. i also have a gauge set that im going to use partly. im trying to make a digital gauge setup but might end up molding the speedo into the tank and just have a tach up front. minimalizm is best.

great looking motor (other than the lights!) I've always been a fan of the Kawasaki air cooled fours. The front and rear end on yours look a treat.

thanks james, dont worry the lights are off. I liked them from the front but from the bike and the side, Thumbs Down Ive got a small set of projectors im gonna put on or get a ufo front number. I thought about molding lights into a fender, not sure how that would fly with the inspectors, but its almost vintage so they wont have to worry about it:)
