Hello, I have no previous experience with bikes so i bought an nsr that was in the process of being rebuilt, but the seller didn't know how to go any further with it so i bought it to learn and finish the project. Engine was supposedly rebuilt and we eventually got this going although at times it still does not start. Have not used the fuel tank yet as there is some rust in it that needs to be cleaned out, which i why the funnel can be seen in the second picture.Basically been like a jigsaw, with the help of a friend taking parts from a box and figuring out where they go on the bike.
I have what i'm sure are basic questions but first here is the bike about to be unloaded, was a tight fit as i expected the bike to be smaller.

And here is how it sat a few days ago. You will notice how dirty the whole thing is and i would prefer to have it all cleaned down but the engine was in aswel as other bits when i got it and for a first project i feel it is better to focus on other areas.

Problem 1
While connecting the clutch cable it was obvious there was something wrong. Am i missing some connection at the end of the cable connecting to the handlebars. The hole the cable goes into is threaded so it looks like i am missing a connection on the end of my cable.I have adjusted the nuts next to the clutch pedal but there is no spring at all in the clutch lever so if it is not related to the first issue maybe my clutch cable needs to be replaced too?

Problem 2
When screwing the clocks onto the holder, it felt under quite a bit of pressure but when locking the steering right it hits the clock but when locking left it covers the rev gauge. So it looks like i have an issue here.

Problem 3
The clocks are not working, seems i am missing a cable. The temperature gauge is working. I have one cable that is coming from an area between the clutch pedal and oil cap. I presume this is the cable that is for the rev gauge? I presume i need to buy a cable similar to this for the speed gauge but where does it connect to.

Problem 4
The radiator is on hinges on the bottom, on the top it does not reach the hole it pops into. Do i need to push/bend the bracket from the bike frame so that it sits onto the rad. I'm fairly sure on this one just making sure.

Now i have a few things that i am trying to figure out where they go/what they do.
Object 1
Looks like i am missing something on the end of this.

Onject 5
Have a wire and fuse that looks like it connects onto the battery, where does this go?

Lots of pictures i know and also posted this on an nsr forum but it is not very active, cars are my main interest so remember i am new too all this when you laugh at some of my questions.
Thanks for any help |

Build a bike with Kev!
Object one is the other half of your speedo. The cable should connect here and at the clocks.
Sure everyone will be along any minute to answer your other questions |

I'll be quite impressed if you turn that scruffy box of shite into something rideable .
What are you doing for fastener locations, just guessing? |
