Hi all, my father in-law as the above bike, well I say bike but its actually in bits, the engine needs building back together, and I think it needs new front forks and brakes, tyres... so at this moment the bike is in bits and he has said I can have it if I want it ? I dont yet have a full bike licence only my CBT..
I would like a project and it wouldn't bother me if it took 12 months but I dont particular like the look of the standard GSX 750 EFE so I ask the question if you guys have any tips on what project I could start using the GSX 750 EFE as a donar maybe ??? or can anyone point me in the direction of pics of a GSX 750 EFE project ?
Cheers all. ____________________ https://img91.imageshack.us/img91/2232/123abc8td.jpg

Secondly, if it'll be your first bike, if you insure it with any modifications you would do, it would quickly become un-insurable (assuming 17/18 years old?) Honestly, I would leave that until you have the time money and inclination to do a proper rebuild of it, but get something else in the mean time, or let the 750 go to an enthusiast who is in that position now.
£5/600 can buy you a lot of bike if you look around, and then budget £400 on new tyres and consumables and a bit of maintenance, so say £1000 you could have a really well sorted bike. |
Ok cheers I appreciate your opinion, I am 31 years young by the way ____________________ https://img91.imageshack.us/img91/2232/123abc8td.jpg

I had one. Great bike. I took it to Italy, the bastard is lucky it made it home. Reg/rec gave up the ghost two days from ferry home. Limped back to ferry port and pushed it off back in the UK. Lucky i had AA and got a car to get home.
Easy to work on and as said, get over to https://forum.oldskoolsuzuki.info/cgi-bin/Yabb/YaBB.pl for hints and tips. Plenty still around so parts are cheap as chips. I say go for it as you will learn tons. |
