Here's a few snaps from this afternoon, probably around 5500 ft above sea level.
This is on the E804 from Platres to Prodromos, if you want to look at it on Google Earth.
Last time I was up here on a bike two thirds of this road was dug up, which wasn't much fun.
No road works today, but I'd forgotten how tight the bends were, it's a 20km stretch of mountain road, it's like a go cart track, 99% of the bends are blind, I think I got into third gear twice! Shocked

PARKED UP

SHADY BENCH FOR A SMOKE AND A DRINK

https://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/Troodos-Pool-Guy/RZR%20250/P1010022.jpg

I THINK THE VILLAGE DOWN BELOW IS FOINI, (PRONOUNCED FEE-NEE).

https://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/Troodos-Pool-Guy/RZR%20250/P1010019.jpg

VILLAGE ON MOUNTAINSIDE IS PRODROMOS, (where Binges cars' clutch let go, a couple of weeks ago, probably still there! Laughing )

https://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/Troodos-Pool-Guy/RZR%20250/P1010021.jpg

A ROAD

https://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/Troodos-Pool-Guy/RZR%20250/P1010020.jpg

THE SAME ROAD AND A TREE! Laughing

https://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu172/Troodos-Pool-Guy/RZR%20250/P1010024-2.jpg

I was going to stop for more photos, but the road's so narrow, where the views were good, that it wasn't safe to park up.
I'll take my video camera next time.

As I've said before, I can accommodate an extra two people, in a double bed, if you'd like a holiday. Just means I'd have to clear a path through the bike bits in the spare bedroom. Laughing

My only stipulations are, you're not a sociopath, you're Jack Russell friendly and that you realise that I'm about as far from Agia Napa as you can get, (if that's your thing). If your allergic to cats, forget it, the whole place is overrun with the little bleeders.
I have a DRZ400E and a trials bike you can use off road, no insurance required.
If you want to use my road bike, I'd need to look into the insurance, the worst case scenario is 200 euros for a full years worth.
Bikes come on a you bend it, you mend it, understanding.

My Mrs and I may take you up on that for a few days, if it's cool with you.

Damnit,
i'd almost convinced myself I didn't need a holiday...then you go and make this thread.

I havn't been out to Cyprus for nearly 2 years now after 7 years back to back still miss beasting the ropey hire bikes around those mountain roads, every single one of the photos of the roads and views if familiar Cool . Hopefully i'll make it out in September, go and stay with my parents.

Even England is lovely to ride along a coast in this weather.

Confused Pretty sure this is a post about mountains and roads on the isand of Cyprus... no where have I stated that some English coastal roads are not pleasurable to ride along... Question

However, if you are suggesting that some of England isn't the shite hole the majority of it is there's one flaw in that ideal, it's the summer holidays and the crap travels to the coast, courtesy of vouchers from The Sun.

I wouldn't go to a beach in England, leave my bike, kit, lid and keys on my bike, go swimming and come back to find them all still there.
