Welp, after a looooong break, the old 3D printer is back up and running. Printing parts for the new printer, but there we go
Photos to follow (assuming it's a successful print, of course).
:edit:
The print crapped out partway through thanks to a dodgy connection that I knew about, but thought I could just ignore. More fool me.
Either way, this is what I was trying to print:

I'm not going to post a photo of the filed print, because I've already kicked off the second attempt. ____________________ '10 SV650SF, '83 GS650GT (it lives!), Questionable DIY dash project, 3D Printer project, Lasercutter project |

I can't say that I'm surprised that Oomlout are doing such a thing. I worked with the guy that designed the original plyrap, which is what this is an extension of. Having built the plyrap, I can see the appeal of this method, although it's a heavier process to make the components. ____________________ '10 SV650SF, '83 GS650GT (it lives!), Questionable DIY dash project, 3D Printer project, Lasercutter project |
