Well as the title suggests i am new to the forum and just thought i'd say hi, I've been riding about 13 months and got my full license around a month ago. So I've been talking to all the bikers I meet on a daily basis but that doesn't really fill my insatiable need to chat shit about bikes so i thought i'd give this a go, never done forums before so i guess we'll see how this pans out..

Hello. Well done on passing your tests. I take it that you haven't decided on your 'big' bike yet? I'm a recent rider, and like you I just can't stop talking bikes with everyone who shows an interest. It's funny how many closet bikers there are in your circle when they see you on one.

Well i've got myself an ER 6F so it's of reasonable size for my first big boys bike, trouble is everytime i walk into a bike shop i find myself wanting this and this and that(latest one is a daytona 675). Biking is an addiction, just a tickle of it and your hooked. What are you riding?

A big welcome bud, ER6F is a good starter to hone your skills, just take it easy for a while, and don't get to over confident Wink
Daytona 675 is a supercharger compared to the ER6, so have a bit of patiance and get a lot of good solid miles under your belt before drooling becomes a reality, thats my advice anyway Laughing

Ride safe out there Thumbs Up

To be honest i don't really have a choice, insurance just wants to suck dry my bank account for anything over 100bhp so at least another years no claims is needed. Yeah i think this year i can improve on last years 11,000 miles, and get maybe 20s so then i'll have some good experience to rest on. Thanks for the advice.

Laughing Aye Insurance does that unfortunatly, just to clarify, the " miles under your belt I was refering to was on the ER6, which is far more powerfull and heavier than the 125, unless I read wrongly, youve only been on the ER6 a month or so, anyway it's still good fun to go into a showroom and dream Laughing Thumbs Up
