This is a 9K bike, everyone knows that, his other vehicle sales are well below book as well so what is the angle?

Maybe doing an exit scam? Builds up feedback over a period of time selling cheap shit, starts listing vehicles costing thousands, asks for deposit from winning bidders, then does one taking several buyers' monies?

Maybe, I have seen Mk2 Square Fours advertised for £14000 and that one is in top condition. The seller would know to ask at least 10K and maybe more.

Edit.. found the same machine being listed by another seller for £16K!

Contact Email is

Fine English name that

It all looks highly suspect to me
they also list other classics among which is a 1925 Citroen torpedo
which has to be as rare as hens teeth for £3900
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1925-Citroen-B2-Torpedo-/181674681041?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4ca7a2d1

it says
"PLEASE.LEAVE.YOUR.MOBILE.#.VIA.EBAY.OTHERWISE.WE.WILL.NOT.REPLY.... runs and drives all in extremely solid condition no rust or damage to the bodywork very good interior tyres in good order brakes are as good as they can be. good strong engine , no nasty noises clutch and gearbox works as it should. "

WTF ?
That's what you might say about an old Fiesta FFS not a car approaching a century old

Dodgy as a dodgy thing IMO

Original eBay listings have been removed. I assume an eBay seller had been careless with his password so a scammer took the opportunity to use the account to list exact copies of other listings in the hope that some unsuspecting bidder will be taken and will be willing to pay by Western Union or something equally dodgy.

Thinking

I wonder what types of shops you've been browsing for you to be suspecting an exit scam when you see something dodgy. Laughing

Exit scamming on eBay wouldn't work.

Prepare your exit scam thoroughly before executing it and you'll get tens of thousands of ponds in just a few hours. If done properly then it'll be over before anyone has even noticed what's going on.

Shifty

Likely, but I'm properly intrigued to know why the same pictures are being used in that "SV650" advert, which contains plausible text.

bike4sale.co. just indexed eBay listings and adverts on other such sites so they'll be for paid for being part of the eBay Affiliate Program. I don't think there's any scam there.

I'd assume that the mixed up photos and text are just because of a scammer not paying close enough attention to what they're listing.

I miss the days when they would take the time to wear fish on their heads. Sad
