Have this week off work so decided to go down to Swindon this weekend just gone to stay at a mates house and get fucked up in general. Had a messy night out Saturday, woke up Sunday with no memory of the previous night and no wallet - oops.

So anyway, riding back home to Reading a short while ago, just get on the M4 and the fuel light starts flashing with around 50 miles til home, not good. Decided not to risk it and pulled into Chieveley services about 30 miles from home, but with no cash or cards, I was in a slight predicament.

So against my better judgement, rang the Mrs (around 10:30) and explained everything, and after a massive bollocking she came out to meet me and give me £20 to fill up. She wasn't too happy about me going off for a lads weekend in the first place, so needless to say that after that I'm sleeping in the spare room tonight.

Anyway thought I would just share this story with you for the lols.

In future keep a card or a £20 plus the address your staying underneath your sock. No matter how bad you get, it would take something to lose your shoes and sock.

I put a 20 GBP (+ 50 EUR when touring) note in an infrequently used pocket in all my jackets for precisely these situations.

Even ear plugs are unable to drown out the incessant drone of a pissed off woman having a hissy fit.

Anyway, the spare room in our house is hooked up to sky, has a beer fridge and obviously wi fi, what more do us hen pecked men require Laughing

I have one of these, it has saved my bacon a couple of times. Buying ice cream on a hot day counts as an emergency, right?
