Spooky, that is the same day that I passed my big bike test.....with no minors on the sheet too!

It was my first attempt though Cool

You bugger, I'm in the market for a hornet. Just waiting for the loan to come through. What do you like the most about yours?

Nice one Crash! Glad to see you did it first time! My first was 3 minors and one serious - bugger! Mad

What do I like about my Hornet.........I think the looks and riding position. Luckily for me, it came with all the trimmings. Micron Can, Hugger, extenda-fenda, fly-screen and no marks. I like the naked bike styling (and it probably costs less when it ineviatably goes over - no plastics!).

The riding position is nice and upright, which (for the moment) suits my newbie riding style.

Oh and it sounds nice too!

What is it that makes you fancy the Hornet? Hope you get one soon btw!

If it helps I paid £2300, 12,000 miles, '98 'S' reg, full MOT and tax 'til October (private sale).

I like the Hornet because everyone says the same thing. A stunning bike that rarely goes wrong.

I'm going to spend about 3500 on a 2001/2002 model

You're right, everyone I've spoken to, both before and after getting the bike say the same - bulletproof!

What colour are you going for?

Hi All - Thanks for the replies.

Yup - it's a 600. I too like the sportbike look, but since it's my first ever bike (still can't believe this!), I thought it best to 'go-naked' and maybe save myself a few quid when it does go over!

I'll give it a year or so, until I've a few miles under my belt and then see about moving on.

Just can't get over the buzz I get when I take it out - even though I do go steady!
