Hi

Can anyone help. My wifes scooter will not start. Tried the auto start button and the kick start. Both fail.

It only has 700km on the clock and was used every day before we went on holida for 3 weeks. Could it really be the battery?

There seems more promise of it starting with the start button that the kick start. Using that it appears life less. Unfortunately I do not have a battery charger either.

Any advise tricks to get it started without a charger if this is the case?

Thansk

Is the engine spinning over on the starter? if it is then your battery is probably ok..

Have you tried taking out the spark plug and cleaning/replacing it?

Check that both brake lights are working. You have to pull one of the brakes to get it to start. You probably know this already but it's worth checking that the brake lights come on when you pull either lever as it may be a dodgy brake light switch. Thumbs Up

hmm wife...

wife = (most likely) 21yo+

simple fix to this problem.

1) torch it
2) beat the crap outta it with sledge hammer
3) crush it in a compactor
4) industrial metal shredder
5) bin it/smelt it down

then go buy a real bike hehe.

seriously though, ya, check ur brake lights.
