With all these road studies trashing bikers for being dangerous, I thought I'd post about a study (carried out by Daewoo) that shows car drivers at their best...

10 Ways Motorists Flirt

    * A long lingering look (79% of men and 66% of women)
    * One in five of men said they sat up straighter so as to look taller
    * One in ten pulled in their stomach to look slimmer
    * Four out of ten women checked their appearance in the mirror
    * A third of women tidied their hair or adjusted their make-up
    * One out of five men tried to edge their car closer to the object of their affection
    * One in ten scribbled their mobile number on their palms for the other driver
    * One in twenty noted down the number of the other person’s car
    * One in ten planned to drive the same route hoping for another meeting
    * A significant number admitted to an exchange of mutual eye-brow wiggling.

Although not recommended, the survey also revealed the extent that one love-struck driver went to meet the woman who subsequently became his wife – he deliberately drove into the back of her car!

Full story can be seen at: https://cars.msn.co.uk/CarNews/flirtingmotorists/

Hope it lightened some moods...

that sounds similar to how my parents "kinda" met.

My father used to be a truck driver and sort of bullied his way into a lane on the severn bridge (before the 2nd crossing was built), while my mum was trying to get into the same one. Guess who won?

mum ended up into the barrier, dad drove on as contact wasn't made between vehicles, they met later that week in a nightclub in Newport.

Well, it was researched for Daewoo's new car - the Flirt... (I think its a matiz), anyhow, should end up making an interesting advert at least.
