Ok, not quite first time but since I've had it I've only commuted.
Not had chance to get out on the back roads due to holiday and bad weather.

Lovely day today so got out in the country and took a couple of phone pics;

Dont talk to me about flies Evil or Very Mad

Did a stint on the dual carriage way on the way back, visor looked like it was pebble-dashed by the time I got home!

I went for a ride last week with J.M, must have covered a fair few hundred miles overall.

After day one I had a jacket covered in flies, like seriously covered Laughing

It's emergency protein, Paddy. If you find yourself cashless and starving, merely lick your jacket for an instant bonus meal!

You're welcome Mr. Green

ps, nice looking bike Thumbs Up

So jealous mate,

looks a beauty.

If you ever think of selling it, be interested to hear first.

Thumbs Up

I'll bear you in mind mate, but to be honest I think this is a keeper!

If this is the type of bike you're after, you can't go far wrong. Really light and agile compared to my previous bike. Makes commuting a breeze but yesterday saw another side to the bike through the country lanes and some (light) off road stuff.

Loving it !!

Haha sweet! Yeah definately, are you on restricted licence still?

Is she 33bhp? Razz

Pretty much all my rides are through country lanes and stuff.. hopefully I'll be doing a thread like this next year haha.

Thumbs Up

Yeah, still on restricted.

I've been meaning to take the bike up to Newbury to get it dyno'd, but haven't got round to it yet.

I've got a bit of a dilemma in that the Dyno will cost £35 or a set of restrictors will be £45. So I dont know whether to get it dyno'd and hope it comes in at sub 33bhp or just get the restrictors and stick them in for only a tenner more.

Being a 'mature' rider I think the chances of being caught with no restriction is pretty slim but its always in the back of my mind!

Decisions, decisions !!

I can tell you how road tyres feel on sand, same as diesel. Laughing Rode through a patch of sand near the beach, drift heaven Laughing

Weirdly, the GSXR was fine off road Shocked

Reminds me of when I first got my old DRZ:

https://i.imgur.com/FeBI7.jpg

Didn't stay standard for long. Also, supermotos love off roading, fords are for wimps.

DRZ's are great bikes but they are a bit under powered. If I was to get another one I'd have to get an FCR carb, full exhaust system etc. to get it in the 40's bhp-wise.

I thought I was a moto-x hero riding through a ford?

I still haven't got the heart to get it proper dirty, am I ghey?

Seriously though the tyres weren't too bad off road, but I wasn't hammering it and it was all fairly dry, no real muddy bits just a few puddles Embarassed

Pics were taken not long after the end of that video Laughing

I would not subject my KTM to that sort of treatment though, although it's much nicer off road on the few byways I've come across by chance.
