Hey all, i have recently got hold of a 1995 NSR250 SP, i'm currently riding a TL1000S but wouldnt mind a thrash/track bike, which lead to me picking this NSR up off a mate, the people who had lived in my mates place had jus left it there????? So before doing anything did a check to make sure it wasnt stolen or anything and it all came up sweet, so far i haven't paid anything yet as there are a few issues that need sorting out first.
Whoever had it previously seems to of taken the ignition card box off completely and lost the card, now i know you need this to start the bike, not being to keen to get a whole new card system from honda i would be interested to know what would be involved in getting the bike running without using the card, if that is possible, i dunno. There is minor cosmetic damage and a few things like new clutch cable and stuff that need doing but all is pointless if the bike doesn't run . The battery is stuffed anyway so i'm buying a new one tomorrow, someone was telling me that they run without the card and that with a new battery in, that it should kick start, but it doesnt sound right.
I guess my question is. Is it worth the hassle or will it be a reasonbly easy (and cheap) job to fix and get it running. As far as i know the everything is in good working order, i dont know about the engine yet until it starts, everything else seems good as.
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers
