You're welcome Thumbs Up

Wemoto are quite good, had quick delivery from them in the past. Just ordered myself a new mirror from them yesterday too. Smile

That was fast delivery, but why not try putting it on yourself?
It's easy enough.

My mate was the same so I used to get him to work on his bike when I was there. We had a rule that he was allowed the 1/4" drive socket set and the short spanners and short allen keys. He could have the 3/8" drive set as long as he told me what it was for. If he wanted the 1/2" drive sockets or the long spanners, long allen keys or any of the T-bar stuff, he had to be supervised.

I'm also very heavy handed. When doing my last oil change I overtightened one of the nuts and snapped the thread in half.

The more things you do the better you'll get. When I changed my break lever it seemed pretty tough to break with heavy hands. The clutch lever will probably be the same.

I'm not sure how others will agree with this but a tip I once heard: to "securely fasten" something with no torque setting specified, do it finger tight and then half or 3/4 turn with a socket.

Works well I find. I used that rule when re-doing the oil filter cover. It didn't quite work because there was also a spring to compress that I couldn't do with my fingers, but then it was a case of "It's getting tight, give it 1/2 or 3/4 turn" and it seems to be working well.

I think you've just got to keep in mind that everything doesn't need to be tightened within an inch of it's life. It's a hard habbit to break, but you'll get it. Laughing
