This morning I waved goodbye to my Honda CBF600 - she has gone to a new home. Until it is replaced i've got a CB500 that I took in part exchange....

It's a 1996 model with drum rear brake. Needs a bit of a tidying up, but runs ok.

Am hunting for an exhaust as the one that was on it was rotton with more holes in it than a sieve. I've currently "Frank Spencer'd" the origional CBF600 exhaust end can onto it, just so that I can use the bike for the time being.

Why to what Paddy?

If it's "Why did I sell the CBF" then the answer to that was so the I can upgrade to a 1 litre machine.

As to why I took the CB500 as part payment for the CBF then the answer to that is so that I am not without two wheels whilst searching for my new steed.

The exhaust was "Frank Spencer'd" on as the original CB500 can was rotton as said above. Am currently searching for a proper fitting end can, weither it be an aftermarket can and link pipe or a standard can. Not a lot about other than new ones but I want to buy used as there's no point in buying new for this machine as it would tripple the value of it!!! Razz
