 |

Hello lads,
Right, summers nearly over (had 4 days of rain here now lol) and i'm lacking a leather jacket that fits properly.
Brought 2 off ebay that looked good in the last month (for like £10 each so no real loss) and neither of them, despite being the right size and fitting round the chest, is long enough in the arms or body !
Tried all my local dealers and all I can find are textile ones that fit, and i don't particularly want a textile jacket.
Yes, i do have stupid gorilla arms and yes, 90% of leather jackets come down to about my belly button when ideally it'd down on my hips.
Stupid question i know, but running out of ideas. Tried Dk in Newcastle and most dealers in Stafford/Stoke with no joy.
Does nobody make jackets for tall people with long arms? (I'm just over 6ft 4")
edit* right now im riding in a vintage 1970's bomber jacket cos it's one of the few leather jackets i could get that fit right, but obviously it offers pretty much zero protection ____________________ 1990 Yamaha XV 535 (Alive Again!) / 2007 Jinlun Texan 125-11 (formerly 2k3, wrong details, now going rusty in the back garden ) |

Buy a jacket that fits your arms, then eat as many pies as it takes to fill out the rest.

Now I have never used/bought from them (I just went there to check for jackets a few years ago and they had loads in stock) but

They do alterations and if I recall correctly they make the jackets so have lots of sizing available. None of them where the style I was looking for but we are all different. ____________________ "no I didn't steal it that's just the way I ride" |

Ask your local alteration shops how much they'd charge to take in a leather jacket. If it's reasonable, go up a couple of sizes, then have it sliced and diced. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
