Hello and welcome to BCF!

Gear Problem:
My Jinlun does this, as far as i can work out, it's the bar that connects the gear lever to the gear linkage (should be a screw in bar, with 2 nut-looking things at either end). Adjusting that may help! Also adjusting the position of the linkage where it meets the crankcase may help (or hinder if you put it to far over).

Throttle:
Try dropping some oil down the cable (not engine oil. lubricating oil), if, when it's fully oiled that doesn't help, you could try taking the throttle cable off all together and checking how the throttle grip is held on (usually some black tape under the grip to stiffen it up). *Beware though setting it too loose will result in your accidentally pulling awesome wheelies and rear-ending cars at traffic lights (*may not occur)

Weird engine problem:
Most bikes need a warm up tbh, especially on very cold days (in the winter usually). 5-10 minutes max should suffice. If the bike has a choke, use that!
*The Jinlun takes 2 kettles of boiling water over the engine and 20+ minutes to get started in -5 temperatures. While the Yamaha takes 30 seconds on the choke in the same temp. it varies a lot per bike

One more problem:
Way to many possibilities on this one sorry.
I'd advise checking the air filter/fuel filter as a good start though, it sounds like either fuel starvation or overheating. Could even be too much fuel getting into the carb and cutting off... or could be electrical! more info required on this tbh.

*additional
I've never ridden, seen or worked on one of these bikes, but they're pretty common problems so I've given the first solutions that spring to mind.
How old is it? Has it been crashed? Have you ridden it at full throttle for the last 10k miles and red-lined the revs every second you've been on it?
Just one of those things with bikes. They do go wrong (a lot more than cars I find)!

Also, wrong forum for this really. probably belongs in "The Workshop". if you really want immediate attention stick stuff in "General chat", seems to be the most busy and "The Workshop" next Laughing

First and foremost, stop using capitals like a mongtard, we can then deal with other problems you may be having.

Ok usual legal stuff...

De-restrict a moped and it becomes in the eyes of the law a motorcycle.

You commit an offence it you don't inform the DVLA that you've re-classified the vehicle.

You have to tell your insurance company that you've re-classified the vehicle.

You can only ride it on a public road if you have at least a provisional MOTORCYCLE licence.

If you haven't done all of the above then you're guilty of riding without a licence, riding without insurance, using an unroadworthy vehicle and possibly defrauding an insurance company.

If an unmarked police car tails you at 32mph for 500 metres then he's got you.

Lose your licence, bike crushed, few hundred quid in fines. Insurance costs rocket.

Just thought you'd like to know. Cool

Yet another immature kiddie who thinks the rules don't apply to him. Rolling Eyes I read things like this and sometimes wish they'd do away with moped licences for 16y/o children. I just have to keep reminding myself that actually plenty of 16 year olds (probably most in fact) are adult enough to accept the rules and responsibilities of driving a powered vehicle that's easily capable of killing them or someone else.

Gotta laugh at the original post, big capitals in the news forum, like you think your problem's the most important thing in the motorcycling world and everyone should drop what they're doing and attend to your needs.

No, as unmarked police are all over the UK.

You just may not notice them, as they're unmarked.

Also, I think the only way they can do you for being de-restricted is if you admit it to them in words, or they get you with a speed radar. Unless they have you on a speed radar they cannot do anything.

Them following you for 2 minutes at over 30mph is enough reason for them to pull you over and ultimately dyno your bike if they really want to. They cant easily do you for speeding without radar or video, but this isn't the same offence...

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT, THANKS

OK... I going to bite Twisted Evil

TAKE THIS AS HELP FOR YOUR FUTURE LIFE ON THE INTERNET Laughing

Capital's on the internet = shouting. Something EVERY 16 YO knows, just the same when you text someone.....
It is not going to make people notice it any more as its a dammed sight harder to read Confused
In fact you will make people ignore it, more than will take notice.

Take this advice on board. Before posting on a forum. Look at the various sub boards and read some threads. You can then, should be able to work out just where is the best place to post your request.
I surprised that some people have even bothered to post something helpful. Given how this forum usually reacts to such stuff.
Perhaps as its in the news (read, not often read as its full of crap) section is often avoided by most. Karma

They do have it my way, It's the law.

How old? Forty seven, been driving almost twice as long as you've been alive, covered half a million miles and hold a full motorcycle licence.

I'm lecturing you because you obviously need it.

Trying to look big, lmao! I haven't heard that phrase since I was at school. You really think I care how I look to a kiddie?

Honestly sunshine if you're looking for a bunch of sniggering adolescents to help you break the law and put your life in danger then find another forum. If you're looking for advice and help from experienced bikers then stick with BCF and take onboard what we tell you.
