In todays Bristol evening post there was a full page report on middle aged bikers...let me quote you a couple of lines:

Quote:
"Bikers are BLAMED for thousands of fatal and serious accidents each year"

Quote:
"Nationally 28,000 bikers were killed or injured last year, and it is the new breed of bikers bearing the brunt"

Quote:
spokesman Trevor Baird said " we have a problem with some-middle aged men who buy really fast bikes. They're attracted through advertising to a lifestyle"

Quote:
Middle aged bikers were suffering from a mid-life crisis, which puts lives at risk

This guy Marc cooper really got my back up, not only did he blame me for serious accidents, but suffering from a mid-life crisis to buying a bike so i can go out and kill someone...this guy is a total tosser
ps if someone wants to send the idiot a e-mail here is his addy
m.cooper@bepp.co.uk

I shall leave you with this classic quote:

Quote:
They're trying to relive their youth but its not going to happen. There's no point in having a bike capable of reaching 100mph on the Avon ring road, its completely unnecessary.

It has to be said some born again middle aged bikers have under-estimated their new bike... (please wait before flaming...)

It also goes that some new 16 year old bikers have under-estimated their new bike...

So far as it goes, I don't think any biker could honestly say they have never twisted and thought... Whoooohhhh... and had to back off.

The more we section out small groups, the easier it is to loose sight of the real picture. No matter what a person does, they could have an accident or die... Its a bad fact. Bikers are just the current scapegoat for our bad road stats to europe. The sooner the government and councils realise that a lot could be done to improve roads, and training of motorists the better those stats will be. Blaming small groups of road users is not the way to help.

I can honestly say that there are cars doing more than a ton on that ring road - I should know, I have to do more than a ton to overtake them! Twisted Evil

Laughing When I used to work for AVIS delivering hire cars people would be regularly caning the Alfa 156's up to 130ish on the ring road.

I'm Scottish, I blame Euan McGregor. I got a bike because I was going through my quarter-life crisis. Please can I do a ton on the ring road? Pretty please? ( damn that restrictor )

as stated above this guy is a tosser, taken a few choice attention grabbing quotes for the uneducated masses and run with it... Mad
