Of back roads and green lanes. Mr. Green

Sold my Thundercat as I have always wanted one of these...and I would end up doing 120+ on the motorway most days so this might calm me down whilst retaining some fun.

Kick start only.
11,800 miles.
Scorpion Race Can, pretty sure its miles over the noise limit of Earth.
Talon Hubs and Excel Rims with 120 and 160 tyres.
Braking Wavy front and rear discs.
Braking 320mm caliper mount.
Tag fat bars, really chunky and quite wide.
Ohlins rear shock, currently set for a larger than myself person as its way too hard.

Initial thoughts are "This feels like 40mph but is 70mph" and "Mmm thump thump" Laughing

Tanks a bit of an odd one, slots over the frame and main tank doesn't last long, probably ~50 miles. Assuming reserve is 1 side of the tank and main is the other?

Either way its pretty fun so far but a chav magnet so is kept out of sight when I'm not around. Rolling Eyes

You'll need different tyres if there's a shower on your green lane.

Shocked

Hello hearing aids.

As for security, you could keep that in your bedroom. Laughing

Nice, want a SM myself.

Thinking about a DRZ400, what's the difference with this and that?

Water cooled.
No kick start.
Probably weighs more! Laughing
Possibly has better off-road manners, might be marginal though.
Spares might be easier to find.

Was the other bike I was looking at.

30kg difference, DRZ is heavier with 200cc less but probably slightly better off road oddly.

Water cooling.

Most have electric start now.

Definitely probably easier for spares, but the bonus on this bike is there is a 770 kit available and rings/pistons are fairly cheap, so a rebore shouldn't be too bad should it need it.

6k service intervals on this, unsure what DRZ is.

Once you start doing off road that percantage will change. You will see how boring tar riding becomes.

Just get 50/50 type tyres. Wont wear down as fast as proper soft knobblies when on tear, but you will sacrifice some traction in mud and sand

Thats generally how tanks on these types of bikes go, half over one side and half over the other. Usually the fuel drains out of the same side so you can modify them and fit an extra fuel tap over the other side. Otherwise its stop, lean the bike over and slosh the fuel over the other side unless you ride it properly and it slops over Thumbs Up

Sub 50 miles for a tank is a bit shyte though, you sure about that? I can more than that from my little two-fiddy Thinking

30kg by the book I was looking at last night.

TT600R is showing at 131kg.
DRZ was around 162, but this appears to be wrong as they are showing at around 134kg.. so yeah, a touch lighter Laughing

Oh and its not little... definitely not little, I cant flat foot at all.
