Me again guys,

Decided on what bike i plan to get. Ordered a new helmet and gloves now just need somewhere in Northamptonshire, MK or surrounding areas to do cbt then either mod1,2 or just a das.

The place i done my cbt when i was 16 shut down ages so.

So where a decent place to do it all? Cheaper the better if possible

Cheers

Miles

Hi mate,
there will probably be a few in mk itself but I did mine at a place called Karmenz, I would recommend them Very Happy

https://www.karmenzbiketraining.com/

But I had also found this site giving a few more places worth a look

Good luck Smile

90One Education.

It's a little more expensive then 'normal' i think. But i did my CBT there, very top chaps.

I live in Kingsthorpe, drop me a message if you wanna go for a ride when you've done the CBT mate.

Website: https://www.90-one.com/

They do a 'scooter cbt' as standard so make sure you ask for a 125 Geared bike though, only problem i found. Smile

£105 for CBT, £115 with bike hire.

Try these guys based in Banbury, excellent prices and top notch instructors. I had to redo Mod 2 as I failed it in January this year. I then discovered 8 months later my CBT was due to expire on the 26th of august and I did not want to have to pay to do it again. Unfortunately all the test centres around hampshire appeared to be fully booked till mid september. These guys managed to give me 1-1 training all morning put me through my Mod 2 all in about 4 days notice, even picked me up from the train station! I paid £210 for the bike hire, 4 hours 1-1 training on the potential test routes, test fees and I passed. All I can say is excellent service.

I used Horizon Motorcycle Training;

https://horizonridertraining.co.uk/

They're based in MK but use the test centre in Kettering for Mod 2 (Mod 2 training is also done around Kettering/Burton Latimer area). They do training packages or you can ask for a free assessment (1 hour) & they'd advise how many lessons you'll need so you just pay for what you need rather than having to buy a 'package' like some other schools.

They got test slots for me within a few weeks of eachother as they block book test slots so you shouldn't struggle to get a test slot.

Good guys, good training & very supportive. I know quite a few guys that went through Horizon & they're all happy with them. Thumbs Up

I did my CBT with horizon, top guys, great practice area (MK Bowl). Seen a few other CBT places that do it in a tiny car park, doubt you'd get out of 2nd gear there.

Bit off topic buddy but you can normally tell if they are good, just go with a school with a high pass rate, don't go for the cheapest as you certainly get what you pay for when it come's to instructor's Thumbs Up
