On the subject of violent bouncers in the past: My mum has told me stories of this guy who worked the doors in Stockholm in her time, who was a real bastard when it came to that stuff. He'd kick the living shit out of people for being a bit too drunk etc. Apparently he got what was coming to him eventually though, cause someone ran him over several times with a car
